Company Background

Our client is a NFP services provider with multiple sites across Australia, as well as internationally. Going from strength to strength, they currently have three large-scale construction projects underway with more in the 5-year strategic pipeline. This Project Accountant role will be fundamental in the delivery of new sites, to continue providing top-tier care to their customers.

The Role

This role is a 12-month fixed term contract, however, there is potential for the role to become permanent.

Reporting to a talented Group Financial Controller, this is a highly visible role and will partner with business unit leaders. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Delivery of financial and management reporting activity within the construction entity
• Production of detailed monthly overviews of financial progress for new sites
• Quarterly delivery of project performance review updates
• Monthly project accounting, including WIP reporting, variance analysis, and cost to complete assessments
• Cash flow forecasting
• Business partnering with construction teams

Your Background

• CA, CPA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent practical experience)
• Previous experience in a project accounting position from a construction, engineering or infrastructure environment
• Skilled in interpreting and communicating financial results to non-financial stakeholders
• Proficiency with financial systems and tools
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
