The Role

This Manager role will see you take responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients while leading and mentoring a team. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality business services. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a portfolio of business services clients across a range of industries
• Reviewing compliance work, including tax returns, BAS, and financial statements
• Providing advice on complex tax and accounting issues
• Leading, mentoring, and developing a team (including offshore support)
• Overseeing workflows, training programs, and best practice initiatives
• Supporting business development activities and strengthening client relationships

Your Background

To be successful in this Manager role, you will ideally have:

• CA or CPA qualification
• At least 6+ years’ experience in public practice, with strong exposure to business services and compliance
• Hands-on experience reviewing tax returns, BAS, and financial statements
• Strong technical knowledge
• The ability to mentor and develop junior staff
• Excellent client communication skills, with the confidence to advise on complex issues
• Proficiency in Xero and MYOB (other cloud accounting tools advantageous)
• A proactive, detail-oriented approach and the ambition to progress
