This business is a boutique corporate advisory firm and significant shareholder in ASX-listed small to mid-cap companies. It raises capital and structures transactions across Australia and Asia, with additional dealings in the US.
This role reports directly to the Managing Director and is backed by an entrepreneurial team with outsourced support.
Direct exposure to the Managing Director and the wider ownership group on every live transaction
A newly created role, with the freedom to build your own book from day one
Strong earning potential tied to outcomes you personally generate
This is a hands-on origination and execution role, not a support function. You will build your own pipeline, bring capital providers to the table and see transactions through from first conversation to completion.
Identify and originate investment opportunities, acquisitions and capital raising mandates
Build an active referral network across business owners, advisers, brokers and investors
Assess commercial merit, funding requirements and risk on every opportunity you bring in
Source debt and equity capital and match opportunities to the right investors
Develop relationships with high-net-worth investors, family offices, funds and lenders
Lead investor presentations and prepare investment propositions backed by solid financial analysis
Manage fundraising from first outreach through due diligence to funds received
Lead the commercial progression of transactions, coordinating legal, advisers and counterparties
Negotiate commercial terms within your delegated authority and secure internal sign-off
Report on pipeline, conversion and expected fees against agreed targets
This suits someone who thrives on winning business as much as executing it. You are commercially sharp, comfortable presenting to sophisticated investors, and motivated by the chance to build your own book inside a business that will back you to do it.
Demonstrated track record in corporate finance, capital raising, investment banking or private capital
Evidence of personally originating and closing transactions
You ideally have an established network of investors, capital providers and deal referral sources ready to activate immediately
Strong commercial judgement across valuations, financial models, capital structures and deal terms
Confident negotiating terms and managing senior stakeholder relationships independently
Comfortable generating your own business while remaining hands-on through execution
Naturally personable, with the relationship skills to build trust with investors and business owners quickly
Exposure to small or micro-cap transactions highly regarded, though not essential
Strong written communication, financial literacy and attention to detail
