Company Background

Our client is a true Australian success story. Backed by a large investor, they started small with the recognition of a gap in the beauty & health market. Since then, they have ignited into a multi-brand FMCG business, partnering with some of the largest names in fashion/beauty. They have global distribution channels and a large presence in the USA & UK.  With more exciting plans in their future, they are looking for a commercially minded senior finance professional to support them.  

They are a small, friendly, energetic team of passionate professionals, so would love someone who will share the same enthusiasm for the brand & its prospects.

The Role

This role is effectively the head of finance position. You would have the support of a junior accounts person and bookkeeping services.

This means you are willing & excited about full ownership of finance, from oversight of the month-end reporting through to commercial strategy and financial modelling.

Responsibilities would include:

• Monthly financial and management reporting, including P&L analysis and commentary
• Cashflow forecasting
• Company tax obligations, both locally and internationally
• Annual budgeting and forecasting process with a monthly rolling forecast. Provide financial guidance and recommendations to senior management
• Business partnering with key stakeholders, including the GM, CEO, Manufacturing operations, warehousing and sales
• Managing the yearly audit process
• Value add projects to review COGS, BOM and product profitability per SKU, stock movements and other key metrics
• Reporting and analysis for investors
• Assisting the company with due diligence projects & other commercial strategies

Your Background

The right person for this exciting role will be/have:

• FMCG, E-commerce, Fashion industry experience or similar. It's key that you understand the accounting concepts around stock, inventory, supply chain, and COGS, for example
• Strong commercial acumen, your resume is a testament to your achievements in value-add reporting, analysis, dashboards and supporting the decision makers in a business
• CA or CPA qualified
• Currently a Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager or you could be a CFO from an SME business, happy to be hands-on still
• A lateral thinker with enthusiasm for change and assisting a business to scale up & take things to the next level
