Following a full operational review, our client is now seeking a Financial Controller who combines strong technical acumen with proven business partnering experience to drive financial performance and support key stakeholders across the organisation. This is an opportunity to lead with purpose, while enjoying a genuine work/life balance, including 2 days working from home each week.

The Role

Reporting to the CFO and with key relationships across the business, this role is pivotal in guiding the business through its organisation-wide changes. Briefly, the role will:

• Lead monthly reporting, annual budgeting, and statutory compliance for state operations.
• Partner with senior leaders, including Heads of Departments and Program Managers, providing strategic financial guidance.
• Analyse and present financial reports and forecasts, including long-term financial planning.
• Coordinate external audits and manage responses to audit findings.
• Implement strong financial controls, continuous process improvements, and support system enhancements (ERP focus).
• Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives to enhance finance operations and outcomes.

Your Background

• CA, CPA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent practical experience).
• 5+ years in financial management roles, with strong business partnering and stakeholder engagement experience.
• Experience working in a service-based or education-related environment is advantageous.
• Skilled in interpreting and communicating financial results to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proficiency with financial systems and tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
