Our client is a successful Australian Manufacturer who has been honing their craft for over 40 years.  During this time, they have built a global reputation as a specialist in the engineering, design, and manufacture of major industrial, rail, and defence-related projects.

They are constantly adapting to the changing demands of the market and new technologies. 

Recently, they have been upgrading their business systems & software, so this is a great time for a seasoned finance professional to join the team and help them with their next phase of business.

The Role

You would be responsible for:

• Managing a medium-sized finance team working closely with the CFO & Board and global teams.
• Key business functions such as contributing to the development of organisational accounting and finance strategies, policies, procedures, practices, and plans
• Project management of assigned areas of operations
• Oversees and manages the implementation of agreed financial plans and strategies
• Preparation, review, and interpretation of various statistical, financial, and accounting reports
• Execute strategic initiatives such as finance process improvements
• Business analysis and insights to recommend opportunities to reduce expenditure and increase profits
• Ensures and maintains the fiscal responsibility of the organisation's operations and ensures compliance with applicable policies, legislation, and standards

Your Background

The right candidate is:

• CA or CPA qualified
• A strong people manager
• Currently a Financial Controller in an SME or a Finance Manager in a large business
• Someone with experience in either manufacturing or a project-driven industry.

The client's first preference is someone with strong SAP HANA knowledge, but if you have solid experience in manufacturing, please do apply regardless!

The CFO does want a 2IC who is ambitious, energetic and able to motivate and drive a team!!

Excellent communication skills are essential.
