Financial Analyst - Retail 

Company Background

Our client is a privately owned retail success.  They have had an impressive trajectory over the past 20 years. From humble beginnings, they are now a household name. They have big plans for the next financial year, looking to expand with more stores in the pipeline and a focus on their e-commerce platform.

Enjoy working in a large business, with a family feel. Direct lines through to Senior Management and reporting to the Head of Finance. Based in Western Sydney with parking onsite or very close to the public transport. No working from home is available.

The Role

This Financial Analyst role is responsible for:

• Partnering with various operational business stakeholders to report and investigate key KPIs
• Preparing budget models, and performing monthly variance checks, with periodic forecasts 
• Prepare and maintain various management reports including dashboards to monitor performance.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis, including rebate analysis, supplier agreements and marketing promotions analysis 
• Working with core finance supporting Month end reporting, including providing detailed insights on key business drivers and actuals vs budget
• Involvement with CAPEX reporting and tracking things such as WIP for specific projects

Your Background

The right candidate for our client will:

• Be CA or CPA qualified (or very close)
• Have experience in SAP (mandatory)to be considered for the role
• Be working as a Financial or Commercial Analyst with operational stakeholders on key business drivers
• Have advanced Excel skills including financial modelling
• Possess strong communication skills and an enthusiasm for supporting non-financial stakeholders across a business
• Have high commercial acumen
• Need to be residing in Australia with a visa to work permanently. 
• Ideally have worked in retail, franchise or multi-site operation
