FP&A, Budgeting & Project Performance Analysis

Company Background

Our client is a large, well-established construction company with a strong footprint across Australia and continuing expansion overseas. Known for delivering high-quality, large-scale, major projects and operating with a long-term, sustainable approach, the business is continuing to expand its portfolio worldwide.

As part of this growth, they are seeking a Financial Analyst to join the team and play a key role alongside the CFO in shaping the global FP&A function. You will join a highly professional, collaborative environment where excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement are part of the culture.

The Role

Your remit as Financial Analyst will be appealingly broad, encompassing a range of responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial planning across regions and projects
  • Analyse project performance, including cost-to-complete, margin, cash flow, and variance to budget/forecast
  • Deliver monthly management reporting with clear insights on project, regional, and group performance
  • Partner with operations and project teams to support financial decision-making and improve profitability
  • Drive improvements in FP&A systems, reporting, and forecasting processes

Your Background

To be considered for this Financial Analyst role, you will be a qualified or part-qualified Accountant (e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) and will meet most of the following criteria:

  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting and analysis
  • Industry experience is not a prerequisite; however, any relevant industry experience is welcome
  • An excellent attitude
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to work as an effective finance business partner
  • Those working as a Management Accountant or Senior Accountant with at least a couple of years of Analytical experience are welcome to apply.
