Company Background

Our client is a leading Australian professional services firm with a strong reputation in their areas of specialty in the legal field.

Due to internal changes, they are seeking a talented Financial Analyst to join their team and partner closely with the CEO and finance team to deliver valuable financial insights to the business.

The Role

As the Financial Analyst, you will focus on:

• Financial and management reporting for ELT and Practice Leads
• Performance reporting (revenue, margins, etc.)
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Developing Excel models, dashboards and reports
• Automating Excel reports
• Writing and maintaining SQL queries for analysis
• Ad hoc reporting for ELT as required

Your Background

To become a valued member of the commercial and finance team, you will have the following skills and attributes:

• Immediate availability preferred (will consider 1-2 weeks for the right candidate)
• Prior experience as a Financial Analyst, Business Analyst or Management Accountant
• Experience within the legal industry
• Strong Excel modelling skills
• Experience using Power Query
• Working knowledge of SQL
