A successful privately owned business with a firm grasp on their segment of the construction process. This business has a history of success and they have created a team-orientated hard working culture. Reporting into a talented part-time CFO and working closely with the managing partner this position will allow you to further develop your leadership skills and be a part of the decision-making process at a higher level. 

The Role

Reporting to the part-time CFO and managing partner, your role as the Financial Accountant will be broad and will involve the following responsibilities:

• Oversee the financial management of the business, ensuring accuracy and integrity in all financial records and reporting
• Manage the full transactional accounts cycle
• Monitor cash flow, manage bank accounts, and optimise working capital to ensure financial stability
• Conduct job costing for a variety of projects
• Partner with external accountants
• Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, implement new systems, and enhance operational efficiency
• Work closely with various departments to ensure accurate financial data and timely reporting

Your Background

The ideal candidate's background could include:

• Qualified Accountant, either CA or CPA highly preferred but not essential
• Strong understanding of accounting software and Excel
• Job Costing experience is highly desirable 
• Exceptional time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively
• Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse teams and build positive relationships
• Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal
