You would support a fractional CFO, and supervise one junior staff member. 

They have grown and expanded their offerings to larger residential apartment complexes over the years.  Sydney is still trying to grow to accommodate its population so there is no shortage of work for a quality developer such as this!

The Role

You would work closely with the Directors and provide monthly reporting to the CFO.  

Tasks will include:

• Manage the workflow of the accounts officer support to ensure timely month-end reporting for the various entities.

• Handling general ledger reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and month-end close processes.

• Collaborating with project and operational teams to provide accurate, timely project-specific cost & milestone reporting.

• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for projects.

• Ensuring compliance with all relevant tax obligations including GST, BAS, PAYG, and corporate tax.

• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Assisting with the system rollout of a new project software.

Your Background

We are looking for ambitious candidates with a strong work ethic & professionalism. The client is looking for to interview candidates who also meet the following profile:

• Experienced Financial Accountants with solid month-end experience - accruals, prepayments and P&L analysis.

• Understanding project accounting from construction, design, and professional services environments is highly desirable.

• Cashflow forecasting skills.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Advanced Excel skills – ideally some macros level ability.

You do not need a CA or CPA qualification for this role. Of course, you will need strong financial & management accounting skills to be considered.
