The Role

As the Financial Accountant, you will sit in the corporate head office and report to an energising and talented Financial Controller who has a great track record of developing and mentoring her team. You will be trained to take on duties that will include (not limited to): 

• Working on the end-to-end accounting, tax and compliance requirements for a range of assets – offering an interesting challenge and exposure
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly reports
• Assisting with the preparation of annual financial statements and tax returns
• Updating financial models
• Assist in project budgeting and forecasting processes
• Involvement in low-volume AP/AR tasks for your portfolio

Your Background

To be considered for this Financial Accountant opportunity, our client is looking for a talented individual with the following experience:

• Circa 3-4+ years experience in EITHER a commercial business as an Accountant or someone looking to make a move out of Audit, Tax or Business Services
• Accounting Degree qualified with solid academic grades (credit average and above) coupled with CPA, CA, ACCA, CIMA qualification (or close to completion)
• Ambition to learn, grow and work hard to build a future career in accounting
• Hold permanent working rights (Permanent residency or Australian Citizenship – opportunity for sponsorship for the right candidate)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
