Company Background

Our client has a unique offering in the technology space. They are an established SaaS business, who have recently had a large investment and are using that to expand the business and offerings.

They boast a fantastic collaborative culture, and while it's fast paced there is also an emphasis on work-life balance. They have WFH options and also great offices in the CBD. 

This role will grow with the business and you get to roll up your sleeves and really get a feel for the operations and core finance before adding value at a strategic level.

The Role

The Finance Manager will be responsible for:

• Complete month-end accounting activities, including preparation of General Ledger (GL), reconciliation and investigation of all GL reconciling items in a timely manner
• Work with the Executive Team to efficiently develop and maintain budgets on an annual, quarterly and monthly basis that support the business strategy
• Prepare and analyse monthly and year to date reporting, including P&L, Balance Sheet, cash flow, budgeting and tracking forecasts to actuals
• Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, posting, and recording accounting data
• Drive the efficient and accurate completion of the month-end billing process for clients – including subscription and usage analysis and reconciliations
• Payroll management 
• Contribute to ensuring the business fulfills our statutory responsibilities, including the preparation of IAS, BAS, and other returns

Your Background

You will be CA or CPA qualified, and someone ambitious and hungry to learn.

As you report directly to the CEO, we need someone who has worked in a small company in a broad role from month-end ownership to strategic analysis & deliverables.

You are not managing anyone at this stage – there is an external Bookkeeping service, but you will need to be happy to be hands-on.

If you come from a SaaS or relatable technology business this will be highly desirable.
