Broad, High-Impact Role in a Growing Global Business

Company Overview

Our client is a NASDAQ-listed, global professional services organisation headquartered in Europe, with a 1,000-strong workforce spread across 36 offices and partnerships with more than 400 organisations worldwide.

In Australia, the business specialises in coaching, digital solutions, and strategic execution. While the local team is small, they consistently punch above their weight - delivering high-impact work and meaningful commercial outcomes.

They are now seeking a committed, hands-on Finance Manager who can provide commercial insights and partner closely with the Executive team. This is an opportunity to influence the business well beyond the numbers, all within a supportive, tight-knit environment offering hybrid working (one day from home).

For an experienced Finance Manager seeking long-term stability and the ability to make a tangible impact, this role is an exceptional fit.

The Role

Reporting locally to the Executive team and functionally to the Group CFO in Singapore, you will take ownership of all core finance operations for the Australian business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and the month-end close, ensuring accurate reconciliations, AP/AR processing, general ledger management, and timely financial statements.
  • Managing cash flow forecasting, cash management, and working capital planning to maintain smooth business operations.
  • Leading the monthly payroll process, including vendor coordination, payroll review, and leave management oversight.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory and tax obligations and liaising with external auditors and tax agents.
  • Supporting pricing decisions, margin analysis, and project profitability assessments to guide commercial decision-making.
  • Preparing and presenting clear, insightful monthly performance reports with key trends and variance commentary.
  • Partnering with the Managing Director and project teams to align financial planning with business strategy and client commitments.
  • Contributing to budgeting and forecasting cycles.
  • Supervising and mentoring the Accounts Assistant to ensure accurate and efficient day-to-day finance operations.
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and drive scalable, practical improvements.
  • Assisting with ad hoc financial analysis and participating in cross-functional initiatives as required.

Your Background

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • A recognised professional accounting qualification (CA, ACA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Experience gained in Consulting, Professional Services, or a project-based environment (highly desirable).
  • Strong practical experience in financial reporting, cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • A willingness to operate autonomously—while supported by a Junior Accountant, you will own the core finance deliverables.
  • An appreciation that while the organisation offers excellent stability and culture, local operations are lean and immediate upward progression opportunities are limited.
