This is a great opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join a renowned organisation on an eight-month fixed-term contract to cover a maternity leave. 

In addition to a creative, welcoming and upbeat culture, you are also able to work from home 2 days each week once you have understood your role. 

The Role

In this Finance Manager position, you will report to a supportive and talented CFO/COO. 

This position will see you head up the day-to-day finance team with two direct reports and will include but not be limited to the following responsibilities: 

  • Manage a settled and productive finance team of two who manage the receivables, payables and GL maintenance activities
  • Take ownership of the management reporting through to the CFO, including monthly and quarterly reporting and accompanying analysis
  • Assist with the budgeting and forecasting 
  • Act as the main contact for the Auditors
  • Have ownership of all compliance work such as taxes, and ensure government requirements are met for continued funding

Your Background

To be considered for this role, first and foremost, you will need a love for the Arts! It’s a creative industry and you will need to be comfortable working with a range of stakeholders and personalities. On the skills side, you will need to have:

  • Ideally worked in an externally funded environment
  • Have managed a small team previously
  • Have all-round accounting capabilities
  • Professionally qualified as an Accountant (e.g. CA / CPA or similar)
  • A real get-up-and-go personality that loves to business partner
  • The ability to fully commit to the eight-month fixed-term contract
