Finance Manager

Company Background

Our client is a growing retail, lifestyle and leisure company with a unique offering, multiple revenue streams and a relaxed, energetic culture. With locations in major cities across Melbourne and Sydney they are seeking an enegertic Finance Manager to support the CFO during an important period for the finance function with a pathway to financial controller available. This role offers 1 day hybrid flexibility available once settled into the position. 

The Role

Reporting to the CFO, this role will own the month-end process, strengthen financial controls and support budgeting, forecasting and reporting. The key duties & responsibilities will include:

• Manage the month-end process, including monthly management reporting

• Prepare Board reporting and support the CFO with budgets and forecasts

• Oversee debt facility reporting, including covenant requirements and quarterly submissions

• Lead the audit process and ensure deadlines are met

• Manage internal controls and implement improvements where needed

• Support ongoing finance projects

Suitable candidate background:

To be considered for the role, you should have the following skills and attributes:

• CA / CPA qualified, or equivalent

• Strong financial control experience in a hands-on finance role

• Smart, switched-on and comfortable working through ambiguity

• Strong month-end, management reporting, audit and controls experience

• Outgoing, energetic personality with excellent communication skills
