Strategic Budgeting & Reporting Role

Company Background

Our client is a high-profile public sector organisation at the heart of government. They are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join their team on an initial 6-month temporary engagement, to support them through the budgeting process.

The Role

As the Finance Business Partner you will focus on:

• Business partnering with budget-owners in multiple departments
• Prepare budgets, management reporting and forecasts
• Prepare variance analysis and projections
• Work with budget-owners, senior management and Finance Director on providing financial reports and adhoc analyses
• Perform ledger maintenance as required
• Assist with other projects – systems, evaluations, processes
• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting as required

Your Background

To be considered as strong candidate for this position, you will have the following skills and attributes:

• Immediate availability
• Professionally qualified (CA, CPA, CIMA etc.)
• Prior experience within the public sector, within state or federal contexts
• Experience using SAP or Oracle
• Experience across budgeting and forecasting
• A high-level of communication and business partnering skills
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles
