Cost Accountant - Manufacturing - Hills District

Our client is an instantly recognisable name and part of a global, industry-leading organisation. Richard Lloyd have been exclusively engaged to recruit a Cost Accountant with strong Excel skills for their finance team to be based in the Hills District.

Reporting in to a talented and experienced Head of Finance who thrives on watching his team develop, you will have the opportunity to grow both your skillset and career in this global multi-channel consumer durables business. The Role

Your role as the Cost Accountant will be a key position in the team. It is a broad role responsible for providing reporting to the management team in the achievement of their commercial and financial goals.

Key duties for this position include (but are not limited to):

  • Monthly financial and management reporting
  • Inventory cost review
  • Cost & profitability analysis
  • Prepare budgets & forecasts
  • Provide leadership and key stakeholders with financial insights and present results 
  • Additional reporting including sales & cash flow reports
  • Assist with commercial decision making including analysis for tenders, margin & pricing
  • Ad hoc duties as required

Your Background

To be considered for this Cost Accountant role, you will ideally meet the following criteria: 

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • You will be professionally qualified as an Accountant (CA / CPA / CIMA / ACCA or equivalent)
  • Experience in a product-based environment with experience in manufacturing being highly desired
  • Proven stakeholder management abilities coupled with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Helped clients or stakeholders with process improvement projects
