Broad Accountant role in a growing property group

The brand is very recognisable in most main Sydney centres! It’s a high-performing, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.  

Due to the agile nature of the business and the involvement you would have across all departments, they prefer staff on-site 5 days a week. They are in the process of fitting out amazing brand new offices with harbour views, so it will be a great space to work in.

The Role

This Accountant role has been created to support the corporate finance team:

Responsibilities will initially include:

• Conduct comprehensive bank & general ledger reconciliations for a large number of entities. This includes corporate, asset & development.
• Assisting the Senior Accountant with month-end and year-end journal entries and prepayments.  
• Supporting the Assistant Accountant with AP and AR
• Supporting the Property Accountants with reporting tasks and consolidating information.
• Managing corporate credit cards
• Assist with ABS reporting
• Assist with audit request
• Weekly payroll processing & reporting for the corporate head office.

Your Background

To be considered for this great Accountant opportunity, we are looking for candidates who:

• Have exceptional English communication skills. You need to be able to explain and ask for information from Centre Managers, Developers and the Directors of the business
• You are a CA/CPA student, or at a minimum, you have enrolled.
• The client is looking to hire someone who is a senior-level Assistant Accountant, OR someone who has been an Accountant for a maximum of a couple of years.
• High preference to someone who is either an Accountant from a Corporate Head Office, OR from the property sector.

Unfortunately, the client will not consider candidates residing overseas or who do not have permanent visas to work in Australia.
