Company Background

Our client is an award-winning content producer with strong international connections & sister offices. They are dedicated storytellers, and this finance role is essential to supporting the long-standing success of the business.

Working in great warehouse-style offices, it is all hands on deck. Being a very collaborative project-driven environment, they would like staff in the offices five days a week. This is a great opportunity for someone without industry experience to see the magic at work of creating content. If you would like to stagger your hours to accommodate any personal commitments that is very workable.

The Role

You are responsible for all the day-to-day and monthly corporate finance tasks. Supported by a great external finance team who run all the production accounts, your tasks will be:

• Management of intercompany transactions

• Consolidation of group results with assistance from the CFO

• Weekly update of cashflow model/forecast

• Royalty payments

• Management reporting for Australia

• Cost report per production with assistance from production accountants

• Accounts Payable for the corporate entities

• Accounts Receivable: raise invoices to broadcasters

• Review of payroll by outsourced provider

• Bank reconciliations

Your Background

We are looking for candidates who will fit well into a creative, fast-paced and project-driven environment!

The client is looking for candidates who also:

• Have worked in a small company and done everything from AP/AR to financial statements

• Have experience with BAS & Payroll tax on their resume

• Are very savvy with Excel and can improve their management reporting

• Have excellent communication skills

• Highly desirable is someone who has worked in media/advertising or a project-driven industry like construction/design

You do not need a CA or CPA qualification for this role. Of course, you will need strong financial & management accounting skills to be considered.
