CFO - Part-time 

Company Background

Our client is a growing medical company dedicated to advancing scientific discovery and improving health outcomes. With a collaborative leadership team and a track record of innovation, they now seek a commercially astute and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to support their growth trajectory in a part-time capacity (2–3 days per week).

The Role

As Part-Time CFO, you will work closely with the CEO and Leadership Team to ensure the financial strength and commercial success of the business. You’ll oversee the finance function while contributing to broader strategic and operational discussions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leadership and oversight of a small finance team
  • Full financial stewardship – including P&L, statutory reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
  • Business partnering with the CEO to support strategic planning and growth initiatives
  • Providing commercial insights to support R&D and operational decisions
  • Ensuring appropriate risk, controls, and compliance frameworks are in place
  • Driving continuous improvement in systems and processes

Your Background

  • CA/CPA/CIMA/ACCA qualified with senior finance leadership experience
  • Experience in a commercial or NFP medical, research, or healthcare environment is desirable but not essential
  • Proven ability to work both strategically and operationally
  • Strong communicator with a collaborative, low-ego style
  • Comfortable working part-time and in a dynamic, growing organisation
