Finance Support Role – Hybrid

Join a well-established Not-For-Profit organisation making a meaningful impact across mental health services in Australia. This role sits within a supportive finance team and provides cover during a period of extended leave.

The Role

As the Assistant Accountant for this 10-12 week role, you will support the finance team across core accounting and month-end processes. This role provides the hybrid flexibility and the opportunity to work from home after you’ve settled into the role.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the month-end close and reporting
• Preparing and posting journals and adjustments
• Balance sheet and bank reconciliations
• Assisting with BAS preparation
• Maintaining general ledger accuracy
• Corporate credit card reconciliations
• Managing petty cash
• Processing staff travel and expense claims
• Investigating and resolving finance queries
• Providing broader support across finance operations as required
• Accounts payable forms part of the role, but is not the primary focus

Your Background

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Immediate availability
• Experience as an Assistant Accountant or similar accounting role
• Exposure to month-end processes, journals and reconciliations
• Technology One experience is highly regarded
• Willingness to obtain or already hold a Working With Children Check and Police Check
