The Role

Your tasks as the Assistant Accountant will include (but will not be limited to):

• General Ledger reconciliation
• Journal posting
• Cashflow forecasting
• Bank reconciliation
• Fixed asset register maintenance
• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reports
• Assist with the preparation of budgets
• Preparation of reports & documents for internal and external audits
• Preparation of monthly GST/BAS and annual FBT calculation
• Accounts Payable support

As you become more confident in your role, you can take on additional duties to support the Finance Manager & CFO.  

Your Background

To be considered for this Assistant Accountant role, you will have the following skills and attributes:

• At least 3 years in a similar role (involvement in month-end close and fixed asset register maintenance)
• Degree qualified and studying towards CPA or CA
• Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, IF function)
• Experience with SAP or another large ERP is preferred
• Product based industry experience is preferred (but not a must have)
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Full Australian working rights
