The Role 

This is a broad Assistant Accountant role that will provide great exposure and opportunities to learn.   

Your initial duties as Assistant Accountant (training provided) will include, but not be limited to: 

• Process weekly payment runs, including employee reimbursements and supplier payments.
• Bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations.
• Month-end processing, including journals and credit card reconciliations.
• Assist with BAS, payroll tax and regulatory reporting.
• Support internal reporting and head office submissions.

Your Background 

This Assistant Accountant position is an excellent opportunity for a Junior Accountant looking to step up in their career and is suited to a candidate who is hungry to learn.  

To be considered for this Assistant Accountant role, you will have the following attributes: 

• At least 1-2 years in a broad role encompassing reconciliations, AP and AR.
• Actively studying towards CPA/CA qualification.
• A great attitude and willingness to learn.
• High attention to detail and initiative to ask questions.
