The Role

This Assistant Accountant role will offer appealing breadth. As you master tasks, there will continuously be opportunities to take on additional challenges, ensuring your skillset is always evolving. Initial tasks will include (but not be limited to):

• Month-end close activities, including journal entry preparation and posting, P&L analysis and management reporting
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Bank reconciliations
• Accounts payable
• Accounts receivable
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
• Assist with tax & compliance reporting
• Year-end audit preparation support

Your Background

To be considered for this Assistant Accountant role, you will meet the majority of the following criteria:

• Degree qualified and studying towards CA/CPA
• At least 3 years’ experience in commercial accounting (AP, Bank rec + exposure to month-end tasks)
• Full Australian working rights (Citizen or PR)
• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal), as you will be dealing with internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis
