The Role

This Assistant Accountant role supports the Financial Controller with the following tasks:

• Capturing accounts payable invoices on a daily basis
• Setting up and processing two supplier payment runs per month 
• Processing of accruals, prepayments and subsequent journals 
• Assisting with Accounts Receivable 
• Assisting with the Fixed Assets Register 
• Reconciliations including General Ledger and Balance Sheet 
• Processing foreign currency payments 
• Managing inter-company transactions 
• Lodgment of BAS returns 
• Assisting with the preparation of budgeting and forecasting reports 
• Preparation and processing of month-end reporting up to the trial balance stage 

Your Background

The right candidate for our client will:

• Be a CA or CPA student and degree-qualified
• Have excellent communication skills & a positive attitude
• Have good experience in Accounts Payable and receivable
• Have month-end supporting tasks on your resume (Journals, fixed assets, BAS etc.)
• Have a visa to work permanently in Australia (We can consider a 485 visa if you have 2 years + remaining)
