The Role
This APAC Payroll Manager role will oversee payroll operations across multiple countries within the region. The role is responsible for supporting and mentoring a high-performing offshore team, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with local legislation. It's a hands-on leadership position within a structured, growth-focused environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of experienced payroll professionals across multiple regions
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing across APAC, including oversight of third-party vendors
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and enhance payroll systems and processes, including contributing to payroll technology projects such as system upgrades and HRIS integrations
- Act as the escalation point for complex payroll queries and exception handling
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders in Finance and HR, as well as external service providers
- Provide strategic guidance on payroll-related legislation, compliance, and internal risk controls

Your Background
To be considered for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:
- Experience managing complex, multi-national payroll operations
- Demonstrated experience in process improvements, reporting improvements and systems upgrades/implementations
- Strong people leadership experience, with a track record of developing and supporting high-performing teams
- Technical expertise in payroll compliance requirements and internal control frameworks
- Strategic and forward-thinking, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving
