The Role

• Update and maintain the approved vendor database promptly, including verification of payment details and verification of creditor details, e.g. GST registration
• Process invoices, including matching invoices with approved purchase orders
• Assist in managing and coordinating the online invoice approval process, if and when required
• Schedule fortnightly internal and external creditor pay runs based on standard company payment terms
• First point of contact with suppliers chasing payment of invoices
• Perform reconciliations including supplier statement reconciliations
• Support the month-end process by providing supporting documentation for month-end journals
• Preparing aged payables and other ad-hoc reporting where applicable, and providing commentaries
• Process credit card purchases and employee expense claims, if and when required

Your Background

To be considered for this great career opportunity, our client is looking for candidates who/are:

• Experienced Accounts Payable Officers who are well presented, articulate and professional
• You ideally will have well over 5 years AP experience, with some in a high-volume environment
• Have the confidence to answer queries from senior-level management on company expenses
• The hiring manager is looking for candidates with achievements on their resume. You are a lateral thinker who enjoys automating and improving processes!
