Accounts Assistant - Law Firm

Company Background

Our client is a reputable legal firm located in Sydney CBD, close to Martin Place & Wynyard station! They pride themselves on providing a supportive and inclusive company culture. They are looking for a confident and switched-on accounts officer to join their close-knit team!

The Role

As the Accounts Assistant, your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Accounts payable (process invoices and reconcile statements)
  • Accounts receivable
  • Weekly Billing (WIP reports, generate bills)
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Credit card and petty cash reconciliations
  • Payroll support
  • Ad hoc reporting

For the right candidate, this role will evolve to focus on additional accounting tasks!

Your Background

To be considered for the Accounts Assistant role, you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Prior experience with both AP and AR duties
  • Degree, Certificate or Diploma in Accounting or bookkeeping
  • Intermediate Excel skills (vlookups & pivot tables)
  • Able to travel to the office 5 days per week
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Legal or professional services industry experience is desirable
