The Role

This role has been created in a team restructure to support the team. Some of the key responsibilities will be:

• Intercompany reconciliations

• Balance sheet recs, journals, accruals and month-end preparation for the Senior Accountant & Head of Finance

• Assisting with monthly and annual reporting to the parent company

• Review the two payrolls - freelancers & permanent staff. You are not processing payroll but are the second set of eyes for the Head of Finance.

• Accounts Payable with the help of an assistant. More high-level review, reconciliations and payment runs. They may hire someone down the track to take on these tasks.

• Taking more month-end tasks from the Senior Accountant as you grow into the role

• Opportunity to get involved in the system implementation

Your Background

The client is looking for experience in the following areas:

• Fixed Assets

• Payroll review or processing experience

• Intercompany reconciliations

• Month-end support – journal postings, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations

• Excellent communication skills

• A confident and positive personality. Someone who will not be afraid to ask the senior executives & operational stakeholders for information.

• You do not need a CA or CPA qualification for this role but you ideally will have a degree in a relevant area
