Company Background

Our client is an enthusiastic entrepreneur using a couple of very successful businesses to venture into the competitive FMCG space. He has some famous brand ambassadors, and high-calibre talent, already secured to accelerate the success of the newest company. 

It’s a very exciting time to join for someone who likes to think outside the square, work in an ever-changing environment and wants to make a role their own.

They are based in Alexandria with parking, but will be moving to the lower North Shore in the next 6-12 months. 

The Director likes everyone to be in the offices 5 days a week so that you can collaborate and partner across the different business units, and work as a team on the new projects.

The Role

You would be responsible for:

• Preparation and analysis of the monthly P&L reports for four business units through Xero. Providing commentary and insights for the Director.
• Cashflow reporting.
• Payables, receivables and related reconciliations. Some of this can be outsourced internally or externally as the business grows.
• The Director would love someone who can create meaningful reports for job utilisation, sales reports and other insights into profitability and spend. 

Your Background

This is a unique opportunity. The right candidate will be:

• Resilient, self-motivated and able to work in an ever-changing environment.
• Experienced with P&L reporting and analysis.
• An excellent communicator and able to confidently speak to non-finance to explain concepts and get the information you need for reporting.

An ideal background is someone who fits one of these three profiles:

• An Accountant who is working in Business services or an accounting firm doing financial accounting for clients.
• An Accountant working in a Family Office.
• A Company Accountant working with an SME business owner and has full responsibility for finance.
