Our client is an Australian consulting company that specialises in the environmental sustainability and energy industry. They are in need of an Accountant to join the team and manage the accounting function for the business. The Role

This is a full-time and permanent Accountant role where you will report into a Head of Finance and be responsible for the following duties:

• Financial Reporting – month end reports, balance sheet reconciliations, GL preparation and preparation of year end statutory accounts

• Budgeting and forecasting, cash flow forecasting and variance analysis

• Systems – automating processes and making process improvements

• Oversee the outsourced payroll and taxation function

• Review the work of the offshore AP and AR staff

Your Background

To be considered for this Accountant position, you will be:

• CPA/CA qualified or near qualification

• At least 2 years of previous experience in a similar Financial Accountant Company Accountant or Accountant role

• Xero system experience is highly desirable

• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise with internal and external stakeholders

• Good attitude to learn and take on forthcoming duties

This role is best suited for someone who wants to work a broad Accountant role in Chatswood
