Grow your career in a supportive Northern Beaches business

The Company

Our client is a well-established manufacturing and distribution business based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, supplying some of Australia’s most recognisable brands. We’ve partnered with this company for several years, and their culture is genuinely exceptional - supportive, down-to-earth, and focused on developing their people.

This is a newly created role, offering the right candidate the chance to shape it from day one and set a clear direction for their career. While no guarantees can be made, there’s genuine potential for this role to evolve into the FP&A team. Plus, with hybrid working, the surf and sand are never far away.

The Role

Reporting directly to an energetic and collaborative Chief Financial Officer, the Management Accountant position offers variety, learning opportunities, and real ownership across key finance functions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage transactional accounting tasks, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review the General Ledger for month-end close and reporting.
  • Develop expertise in Power BI, working closely with the FP&A team to enhance data insights and reporting.
  • Support the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and management reports (monthly, quarterly, and annually).
  • Conduct customer profitability analysis to inform strategic business decisions and improve operational efficiency.
  • Analyse manufacturing costs (materials, labour, overheads) to enhance product costing and overall profitability.
  • Contribute to a range of ad hoc financial projects.

About You

You’re proactive, analytical, and eager to grow your career within a dynamic and supportive environment. You enjoy working with data, take pride in accuracy, and are ready to expand your skill set.

To be considered, you’ll ideally have:

  • Experience as a Financial or Management Accountant (junior experience welcomed)
  • Strong attention to detail and a curiosity for understanding data
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a desire to learn
  • CA or CPA qualification (or working towards it)
  • Exposure to Power BI (highly regarded)
