Your role as Tax Associate is being hired to support a highly talented, Big 4 trained Tax Director who has a passion for developing others. You will be trained up directly by this individual with a view to becoming a key support to her. This in turn will lead to unbeatable exposure that will be hard to better elsewhere.
This Tax focused role will include but not be limited to:
Ensuring all tax compliance deliverables are high quality, technically accurate and delivered on time
Supporting the Tax Director on board reporting and bi-monthly tax forecasting, including preparation of specific tax papers for Board meetings
Advice and assistance on bids, including review of tax opinions (as provided by external advisers), ad hoc advisory assistance for projects and deals
Assist the Tax Director with key tax strategic projects as required
Working efficiently and collaboratively with other parts of the business
Innovating and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in tax compliance and process-based activities
Build relationships internally and externally through contributing to the team’s provision of ad hoc tax advice and support to the business
Assist the business through its ATO engagement programs through the preparation of supporting information and responses for the business’s interactions with the ATO
In order to be considered for this Tax Associate role you will meet the following criteria:
A strong academic background including tertiary qualifications in Business/Accounting or Tax Law
Approximately 1-2 years experience working in either a Big 4 or tier 2 firm, or an in-house tax team with the willingness to learn and enhance your tax career.
