Our client is a leading Australian consulting firm offering a range of advisory services including Audit, Business Services, Risk and IT. With operations around Australia in all the major cities, they have recently undergone a number of acquisitions which has meant they have needed to look at a number of extra resourcing requirements.
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role will be focused on a number of key areas including:
Managing the monthly payroll of 1,300 permanent employees across NSW, Vic, WA, QLD and SA
Staff Management of one
Ensuring pay records are accurate and representative of entitlements and conditions
Maintaining and updating all employee records accurately in the payroll and time & attendance systems
Reconciling and lodging PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation
Maintaining, implementing and complying with up-to-date information on changes to payroll and taxation legislation
Preparing end of month payroll reconciliation and reports, including the calculations of annual leave and long service leave provisions
Preparing monthly payroll cost recharges to related entities
Handling all employee payroll queries effectively and in a timely matter
To be considered for this role, there are a couple of client requests:
Significant payroll background, including management experience
Exposure to ADP ideally
Have worked in a professional services environment where there are frequent interactions with Senior stakeholders
Experience with multi-state awards
