Our client is an iconic entertainment company with an International brand. They operate nationally across Australia with many of their events appearing on television and other media outlets. They are well established and have enjoyed continual success growing year on year. Located in North Sydney, their offices are an easy walk from the station.
As part of their recent post-COVID bounce back, the requirement for a hands-on Management Accountant has been identified. Reporting to the Financial Controller, and with multiple touchpoints both internally and externally, this role will bring together a more streamlined finance function. Primarily the role will:
Take full accountability and ownership of each event’s P&L statement
Play a key role in working closely with the Event Senior Leadership team.
Preparation of month-end and year-to-date financial reports and work papers.
Preparation of budget templates and assisting Event Managers with the completion of budgets for submission.
Any other aspects of financial reporting and analysis thereof.
Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for Events
Commercial Sales and Corporate Experiences reporting
Adhoc financial analysis as required by the Financial Controller
To be considered for this Management Accountant role, you should meet the majority of the following criteria:
Hands-on management accounting experience
Management of multiple non-finance relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Experience in a media or entertainment style business (would be advantageous)
Hold a professional accounting qualification such as CA/CPA or equivalent
First-time movers from Chartered - Business services would also be welcome to apply
