Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the Senior Management Accountant, this Financial Accountant assists with month end reporting and projects.
It is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract to start with, but it is replacing a permanent role and the right person will have the opportunity to stay permanently.
More specifically this will involve:
First draft of monthly financial reports covering balance sheet, profit and loss, and cashflow statements
Managing the general ledger including overseeing the monthly balance sheet, banking reconciliations
Completion of the monthly accruals, journals, fixed assets and depreciation schedules
Weekly cash flow reporting
Assist with company tax reporting requirements
Assisting in the preparation of year end statutory accounts
Assisting the Snr Management Accountant with the budgeting and forecasting
Assist with the Board Reporting
You will also have the opportunity to add value to your resume by being involved in commercial property projects, systems and workflow upgrades and other ad-hoc value add tasks.
For this Financial Accountant role, the client is looking for candidates who are/have:
Month end reporting assistance including journals, accruals, preparation of the P&L
3-5 years of experience with at least some experience in a health, aged care or a not for profit business
The ability to communicate effectively and deal with non-finance business partners
CA / CPA qualified or have at least completed half of the modules
Share the values of the business and its mission
