The role reports to the CFO, a seasoned industry professional.
You would directly manage a small finance team and be responsible for:
Reporting directly to the Business Owner
Manage a small but dedicated team including mentoring and staff development
Oversee all Financial Reporting, AP, AR, Tax, Payroll and GL accounting
Pay a pivotal role on a number of development projects, with a particular focus on cash management and internal controls
Manage the budgeting and forecasting process
Overseeing the preparation of statutory returns such as BAS, FBT, Income Tax, & IAS
Liaising and managing relations with External accountants and banks
Managing the company’s financial systems
Working closely with the Business owner to deliver reports, analysis findings and potential
The CFO is looking to hand down more of their responsibility to this role as you settle into the role.
Solid tenure as a Finance Manager in an SME business
Proven ability to manage a medium sized team, delegate work and be a mentor to the junior members
You will have worked in a relatable, project driven industry such as construction, engineering, advertising, IT services for a number of years. Your resume will outline your ability to recognise revenue in line with the accounting standards
Resilient, determined and able to deal effectively with a very broad cross-section of roles and personalities
CA or CPA qualified
It is essential that you are a confident communicator and will be able to provide answers and ad-hoc reports to the Directors.
