The Company
As one of Australia’s most established Healthcare and disability support organisations, they offer state-of-the art facilities for patients with both chronic and acute illnesses. Thanks to a recent acquisition, and with a couple more slated for 2022, they have identified a request for a strong Finance Manager to take on the ownership of two of their hospital facilities.
The Role
Reporting to the CFO, and managing a small team this role will take responsibility for the end-to-end financial stewardship of two of their facilities. As the business continues to remain curious and expand its footprint in Sydney, there will be further opportunities to widen the scope of the role and team. More specifically the role will involve:
Working with the business to assist them in setting budgets – including understanding historical trends, impacts of future trends on results
Reviewing of month end results with follow up to understand variances to budget and forecast
Working with the operation teams to explain results and variances and gain an understanding on current business trends and expectations
Reviewing and preparation of Balance sheet reconciliations
Posting and ensuring the completeness and accuracy of billing into the ERP system
Assisting with the NDIS uploads and billing, following up of rejections, and liaise with operations to monitor plan dates and approvals
Assisting with the preparation of audit workpapers
Assisting with the preparation of Financial Reports
Liaising with external auditors as part of interim and year end audits
Supervising of an accounts receivable officer, and accounts payable officer
Setting KPIs and performing reviews and development plans for staff
Your Background
To be considered for this Finance Manager role, ideally you will have:
Experience within the Healthcare field would be especially if you have had exposure to site-based care (clinics, hospitals, aged Care).
Significant experience with setting and reporting around budgets and forecasts
Managed a small team
Exposure to Dynamics 365 (that’s a nice to have really)
