Our client is a small firm with long relationships with many of their clients. They provide a full range of services, and have an excellent name in the market.
They are currently experiencing growth and have created this Finance Manager role to work closely with the MD and manage one Assistant Accountant.
It’s a small but friendly and social team, where they enjoy regular lunches and team catch-ups.
The Finance Manager Role
You would be responsible for:
Oversight of the month end process including ensuring the completion of the General Ledger and Balance Sheet reconciliations and production of the P&L statements
Completion of the commentary around variance to budget
Submitting taxation returns such as BAS, FBT, GST and liaison with external tax specialists
Working with client service managers on WIP and revenue analysis on jobs. Client profitability reporting.
Managing one Assistant Accountant
We are looking for candidates with strong backgrounds in the media/advertising sector. You will be either a Senior Level Accountant in a larger agency or a Finance Manager in a smaller agency.
Candidates who can be credible and confident going through the numbers with the MD, and able to provide insightful commentary around the numbers is expected.
A great team player, but also the ability to work autonomously is key.
