Our client owns and operates a large-scale agriculture and logistics enterprise based in regional NSW with its Corporate Head Office based in Sydney CBD. It aims to provide safe and efficient agribusiness services to their customers whilst developing a sustainable footprint and supporting our community.
Complementing their primary producing activities they have post farm gate activities including both internal and external customers across Transport, Grain Trading, Merchandising and Storage operations.
Reporting to the CFO and with daily interactions with the General Managers this role will be tasked with:
Monthly Financial reporting including ownership of the divisional Profit and Loss responsibility
Responsible for preparation of budget for the Post Farm Gate activities
Responsible for preparation of detailed forecasting of the Post Farm Gate activities
Performance Improvement including monitoring performance of KPIs, comparison of results with budgets - weekly, monthly and annually, and supporting business operations
Ensuring quality of information is available to management on a timely basis through the use of technology
Preparation and co-ordination of Capital Expenditure requests in a format presentable to the Board
To be considered for this unique role you will have:
Previous experience with managing and preparing a complete Profit and Loss
Solid commercial nous, and comfortable talking with a range of people including those working rurally
CA/ CPA (ideally)
Worked in a relatively hands on role
