The Role

Your role as Commercial Manager will offer appealing variety including significant operational involvement. Working closely to the SLT you will supervise a direct team of 6 with a wider team of approximately 20+.

You will play a lead role driving performance across the company’s operations. Your role will specifically get involved in the following:

  • Contributing towards the formulation of strategy and operational objectives to drive performance across supply chain and logistics

  • Redesign, implementation and oversight of processes and procedures including systems implementation

  • Ensuring operations are carried out in an appropriate and cost-effective manner

  • Partner with core finance stakeholders on budgets

  • Forecast revenue and gross margin

  • Providing data driven insights to maximise profitability

  • Customer and margin analysis

  • Planning, analysing and tracking inventory and overseeing inventory efficiency

  • Continuous drive to implement best practice to track inventory management from supplier to customer

  • Ensure controls are met

  • Monitor and drive operational KPI’s

  • Recruiting, training and supervision of your team

  • Driving continuous improvement of customer service

Your Background

To be considered for this Commercial Manager role you will meet the following criteria:

  • Professionally qualified as an Accountant (e.g. CA, ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent)

  • Have a strong accounting background including budgeting, forecasting and analysis

  • MUST have worked in a relatable inventory centric business – e.g. consumer durables, FMCG etc. in a commercial and/or operationally flavoured capacity

  • Proven prior staff management experience

  • Confidence and well-developed interpersonal skills to enable you to network and liaise effectively with stakeholders across the business top to bottom

  • Excellent business acumen and an analytical mind

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
