As the Commercial Accountant you will work closely with the Commercial Manager as well as the FP&A team. Your role will be broad and see you involved and exposed to an appealing range of duties. You will quickly become responsible for month end analysis and reporting whilst also helping to drive exciting process improvement initiatives.
Other key duties will include but not be limited to:
Analyse P&L for each department including GL transactions & payroll records
Act as the primary finance contact for the OPEX team queries
Prepare and build annual budgets
Present budgets to business / unit manager
Review contracts, identify frequency of revenue reports
Involvement in ongoing project and process improvement initiatives including a new system implementation
To be considered for this Commercial Accountant position you will ideally meet the majority of the following criteria:
Either making your first move out of Chartered (ideally business services),
or, have worked in Commercial in a similar role previously (commercial experience could include working as a Management Accountant, Financial Accountant or equivalent)
If coming from commerce, you must have proven hands-on month end reporting including budgeting & forecasting knowledge along with a stable work history
Part qualified as an Accountant (e.g. CA, CPA, ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with a strong track record of progression and achievement
Have a passion for participating in projects and process improvements
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to effectively liaise and partner with multiple non-finance stakeholders
