The Role
As the Assistant Financial Accountant, you will sit in a corporate head office environment and report to a Financial Controller who thrives on developing and mentoring her team. Your initial duties will include:
Accounts Payable and Receivable duties
Performing reconciliations
Learning the complexities of project accounting within the industry
Assisting with audit and tax returns
Calculating distributions
Assisting with shareholder reporting
As you continue to grow and become more confident, you will be given more responsibilities.
Your Background
As the ideal candidate for this Assistant Financial Accountant role, you will have:
At least 12 months of accounting experience
Degree qualified with solid academic grades (no fails!)
Want to work in a corporate head office environment
Excited to start or be in your early stages of completing a CPA or CA qualification
Desire to learn, grow and work hard to build your career in accounting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
