Our client is part of a large global distribution and supply network for wholesale construction products. In Australia, they have interstate offices but the corporate head office is located in lovely modern offices in South Sydney, with onsite parking.
You would enjoy working in a close knit team with support from the Credit Manager and Financial Controller.
The Role
This AR Officer role is responsible for the major accounts in the business. It’s a key relationship role, so it's important you enjoy dealing with people! Tasks include:
The collection of incoming payments from major customers groups
Seeking confirmation of payments, remittances, and expected dates of outstanding invoices from customers
Receipting and allocation of customer payments in the accounting system
Processing of foreign currency transactions & banking fees associated with payment allocations
Calculation, verification & processing of standard rebates
Performing reconciliations of payments and/or reconciliations of outstanding account balances in Excel
Raising of credit notes, and processing of credit claims or refunds
Your Background
We are looking for passionate Accounts Assistants or AR Officers who love having autonomy over the work that they do. You will love seeing the money coming into the business and keeping a tidy debtors ledger.
This role is relationship driven. So it's key that you are a people-person and like building relationships and interacting with your customers. Excellent communication skills are key.
You will need to have 2-3 years of full-function AR experience clear on your resume.
This role is located near the airport with parking onsite. It can be 4 or 5 days a week.
