Our client has been supporting the community with access to key medical and rehabilitation equipment. It’s a private business that has been growing year on year and has been agile to adapt to consumer demand.

You would work onsite to start with, to build relationships with key stakeholders and the CFO. It’s a great opportunity to fast-track your career if you show initiative and a good work ethic. This role could advance to more of a Senior Accountant role as the business continues to grow.

Due to the collaborative nature of this role, working closely with both operations and sales, this position is based in the office five days per week.

The Role

This role has been created to support the CFO and ideally take on more tasks from them, as tasks are automated.

The key responsibilities are:

• Own the month-end process in a lean finance team, preparing journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly reporting
• Assisting the CFO with management reporting
• Assisting with company tax reporting requirements
• Assisting the Accounts Officer with AR and AP tasks
• Systems and processes development. Finding ways to use Excel or PowerBI to automate the current processes.
• Sales Analysis

Your Background

The essential criteria is someone who:

• Is qualified or studying their CA or CPA
• Is currently a Financial Accountant or similar and has strong month-end tasks on their resume
• Has strong Excel skills
• Has excellent communication skills
• Is ambitious, a hard worker and keen to take on more tasks wherever required.

The client is eager to see resumes that have a strong track record of achievement. You have been involved in systems upgrades, workflow improvements and/or similar.

The client would love someone who has an interest in Data, PowerBi or is an Excel guru. You would have the opportunity to use these skills to take on projects to automate the accounting processes.
