Our client is part of a global business and is very well-established in Australia. Leading the way with technology innovation, world-class specialty products & services, they have a wide range of offerings.

They are an award-winning business about to enter a new chapter.   After recent business acquisitions, they need a strong financial leader with ambition & drive to help evaluate how finance can best support this new chapter.

You would support the CEO & COO who are highly invested in the company’s success & future as they have both been with the business for an impressive length of time.

They do want this role in the office five days a week the majority of the time. As it’s a business-critical role, it's key you are onsite working closely with operational stakeholders.

The Role

The role would manage the finance team and be involved in the following tasks:

• Lead finance team including a review of structure & allocation of tasks to support the growth of the business and accommodate the acquisitions.
• Look at controls, processes, and reporting standardisation across the entities after integration.
• Manage financial reporting including month and year-end.
• Strategic financial planning, forecasting, modelling, insights, analysis and management reporting.
• Preparation and presentation of board reports.
• Tax compliance
• Maintain relationships with banks.

Your Background

We are looking for either ambitious Financial Controllers who are ready for a step up, or current Finance Director level candidates who are passionate about people & processes.

You will be CA or CPA qualified to lead and mentor the team.

Ideally, we are looking for passionate, ambitious self-starters with a track record of achievements on the resume. Experience in medium-sized businesses is preferred with a wide scope of responsibility. This includes being close to the accounting operations – AR, AP, payroll etc.

Finally, what will make you stand out from the crowd is your experience with M&A or post-acquisition integration of business entities. Ensuring strong control & processes to protect the financial integrity of the business.
